Whether you are concerned about your own drug taking or someone else who you think might be taking drugs, it can help to talk to an expert.

For free confidential drugs information and advice call the Know the Score helpline on 0800 587 587 9. Trained advisers will be there to talk to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  If you need further help they will point you in the right direction.

There is also help, information and advice available locally. You can find help in your area by visiting the Know the Score Directory of Local and Community Services or the Scottish Drug Services Directory.

Both of these directories are are practical guides to the range of help and advice services which are available in your area. These directories provide you with the details for the specialist drug agencies in Scotland, the services they provide, opening hours, contact information and how to make a referral.

You can also find an Alcohol and Drug Partnership in your area. Alcohol & Drug Partnerships are the focal point for local action on drug misuse. They comprise of representatives from all key agencies involved in tackling drug misuse locally, including local authorities, police, health services, prisons and voluntary sector organisations. As a central point of contact, they can provide details about a number of local initiatives and services.

There is also a comprehensive list of National Organisations relevant to Scotland and the UK, offering support, information and advice on substance misuse and other related topics, including amongst others, Children and Young People, Mental Health, Criminal Justice Services and Research.
